Connect OrgX to VS Code

Add OrgX as an HTTP server in the VS Code MCP user configuration.

Steps

  1. 1

    Open the MCP configuration

    Run "MCP: Open User Configuration" from the Command Palette.

    Add the server

    Add an orgx entry of type http with the OrgX MCP URL. VS Code starts the OAuth flow on first use.

  3. 3

    Confirm the session

    Read the authenticated tool list. When orgx_get_workspace_context is available, use it to read the authorized workspace, then retrieve one linked record. Installed plugins keep their declared profiles; informational profiles use the search or status tools they expose.
